How to Delete Your Account
I want to delete my account.
In the app or on the web, tap Settings > My account > Delete account to delete your account.
If you can't log in to the app, please send a "Request for account deletion" to info@uniple.app from the email address you signed up with. If you can log in, you can also make the request through Settings > Contact us. We'll process it within 10 days after verifying your identity and let you know the result.
※ Please note
- Logging out or deleting the app alone does not delete your account.
- Even if you sign up again with the same account, your previous data will not be restored.
- If there are records you don't want to leave behind, please delete them yourself before deleting your account.
Information that is deleted
- Your login connection information, email address, the name you set, language and notification settings, notification inbox, and push notification information are deleted or de-identified immediately when you delete your account.
- If no one is left in the couple space, that space and all the records, photos and videos stored in it are deleted as well.
Information that remains
- Records in the couple space: If your partner remains in the space, the records you made together are kept as they are for your partner. You'll be shown as "Deleted user" as the author.
- Posts in Share an idea: These are public posts that include other users' reactions and the company's replies, so they are kept even after you delete your account, and you'll be shown as "Deleted user" as the author. If you don't want this, please delete them yourself before deleting your account.
- Records kept as required by law: These are kept for the periods set by law and then destroyed.
- Records of payment and supply of goods: 5 years
- Records of contracts or withdrawal of subscriptions: 5 years
- Records of consumer complaints or dispute resolution (including inquiry records): 3 years
- Records of labeling and advertising: 6 months
- Books and supporting documents for transactions under tax law: 5 years
- Backups: Information remaining in backups kept in case of mistakes or outages is used only for recovery purposes, and is permanently destroyed after the periods below.
- Deleted photo and video files: up to 30 days
- Database backups: up to 7 days
Are you on a paid plan?
It depends on where you paid. In every case, your partner gets to use the remaining period you've already paid for.
- Subscriptions paid on the web: auto-renewal stops and your registered payment method is deleted when you delete your account.
- Subscriptions paid through Google Play: the Company stops auto-renewal when you delete your account.
- Subscriptions paid through the App Store: under Apple's policy, the Company cannot cancel your subscription, so deleting your account alone does not stop the payments. Before deleting your account, cancel it yourself in your iPhone's Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions.
Deleting the app does not cancel any subscription.
I want to keep my account and delete only some records.
You can delete the records, photos and videos you've left yourself at any time from each block's screen. You can also delete posts you've written in Share an idea yourself.
If you'd like information deleted that you can't delete yourself in the app, please send a request through Settings > Contact us or to info@uniple.app. We'll process it within 10 days after verifying your identity and let you know the result. Records made together with your partner are handled within the scope set by applicable laws, taking your partner's interests into account as well.
Deleted photo and video files are permanently destroyed after up to 30 days, and database backups after up to 7 days.
